Environmental Policy Toma S.r.l. rev. 1 of 20.09.2025
Toma S.r.l. management believes that respect for the environment is an essential way of managing the company; because of this, it adopts an environmental management system compliant with UNI ISO EN 14001 standard, as an organizational management tool aimed at managing and controlling the environmental aspects and impacts generated by the company, with the confidence that this will increase satisfaction of all stakeholders such as customers, workers, and the population inhabiting the area around the plants where the organization operates.
Therefore, by defining this ENVIRONMENTAL POLICY, the management formally commits to operating:
- in full compliance with the current environmental laws and regulations, authorizations given to the company and the contractual provisions and good practice standards to which it has voluntarily adhered;
- in full compliance with stricter and more stringent internal requirements than those provided for by current regulations;
- with a view to continuously improving the organization’s environmental performance.
This environmental policy provides the framework to establish and re-examine the organization’s environmental goals and milestones, aimed at:
- Preventing dysfunctions and inefficiencies, rather than eliminating them in retrospect, by identifying causes and controlling internal processes for each specific role;
- Properly managing and, if possible, sparing natural (water) and energy (electrical and thermal) resources; recovering processing waste in the production cycle;
- Regulating (also for environmental and prevention purposes) activities and relationships with contractors, subcontractors and suppliers of goods and services in general, and identifying and using qualified suppliers who provide a high level of reliability while respecting the environment. Building relationships of mutual collaboration and benefit with suppliers;
- Informing and training staff members on environmental issues, making them aware of their obligations towards the environment. Involving all operators (at any level) so that they recognize that environmental issues are everyone’s responsibility;
- Studying and designing technologies and processes, paying specific attention to reducing pollution risks.
Therefore, the management, being aware of the importance and strategic value deriving from achieving such goals, has formally appointed, in the person of its sole director, the figure responsible for and representative of the implementation and maintenance of the action plans and initiatives aimed at achieving the objectives of this Policy. In line with the other management policies issued by managers, all the coworkers of the Company are asked to commit to complying with the defined and proposed rules, with a view to continuously improving Toma S.r.l.’s performances. This environmental policy is made public, and corporate management commits to making it available to anyone who requests it (including private individuals, regulatory authorities, local authorities, and customers).
Furthermore, management commits to making this policy available to all workers operating on its behalf.
