QUALITY POLICY
STATEMENT FROM SENIOR MANAGEMENT
TOMA S.R.L. has always focused on products, which become an expression of quality and reliability.
TOMA S.R.L. developed generation after generation also thanks to the commitment of its people: this commitment translates into the pursuit of business goals without losing sight of the underlying values, which are product quality, professional ethics and responsibility, integrity, loyalty and trust, passion for research and innovation.
Thanks to these points of reference the company has always placed customers, to whom it seeks to offer high-quality products, at the core of its operations.
Customer satisfaction is the basic requirement for corporate continuity, competitiveness, and development. Quality is the tool through which we can achieve these results in our internal processes, resources, and suppliers.
The consolidation of the company’s future can only depend on the continuous involvement and personal contribution of all those who collaborate with the company, investing their time, work, and ideas.
TOMA S.R.L. wishes to confirm its ethical vision by clearly expressing shared principles, values, and responsibilities.
In this context, TOMA S.R.L. equipped itself with a code of conduct, which does not only merely formalize already established areas of excellence, but also represents an opportunity to define a “compass” which will guide future behaviours that create value for the company and for civil society as a whole.
QUALITY POLICIES AND GOALS
The reference framework for our corporate quality management is IATF 16949 standard “Quality management system requirements for series production and spare parts in the automotive industry”, derived from ISO 9001 standard.
To define and periodically review the system, TOMA S.R.L. adopts tools for the analysis of context, stakeholders and their expectations, risks, and opportunities at different levels, including those related to individual processes.
Quality manual and documents related to it (procedures, operational instructions, paperwork) represent the summary of corporate guidelines and, as such, they must be strictly complied with and enforced by all staff members when performing their daily activities.
The goals of TOMA S.R.L.’s daily commitment are:
Satisfaction of customer needs and expectations
- Offering the expected quality is the key requirement to meet customer needs.
- Thoroughly defining requirements, including specific customer requirements and mandatory ones, to fully meet customer needs.
- Planning shared and specific company activities, with a view to product quality.
Professional growth of staff members
Maintaining a high professional level through a continuous training and awareness program. All coworkers, with their own knowledge and professionalism, contribute to the quality of the products and services offered by TOMA S.R.L.
Staff member awareness and motivation
Pursuing a policy to enhance and develop individual skills by encouraging active engagement and participation, to achieve goals. Staff member awareness, motivation, and satisfaction are a guarantee of commitment and sense of responsibility.
Continuous improvement
It’s no longer enough to ensure process quality; we must go beyond to improve such processes, using current results as a springboard to achieve toughest goals in the future. We must learn from mistakes, analysing them to identify their causes and eliminating them permanently.
All processes should be improved through an analysis of risks and opportunities to prevent potential causes of failure to achieve objectives.
Annual planning of activities to limit climate change.
Partnerships with customers and suppliers
Selecting qualified suppliers and actively involving them in technological and qualitative development activities.
Likewise, the research and development activities for new products and processes, in close partnership with customers, is the prerequisite to offer a competitive and innovative product.
Certification of quality management system
Certification of quality management system according to UNI EN ISO 9001 and IATF 16949 standards, and its maintenance in time, represents an ambitious goal and one of the most far-reaching projects a company can undertake. With this in mind, TOMA S.R.L. commits to ensuring the certification of our quality management system and its maintenance are considered by everyone as the key tool to achieve continuous improvement.
Furthermore, general management regards resource safeguard and respect for the environment as core pillars for quality of life and environmentally-friendly development. To this aim, Toma S.r.l. commits to:
- A management system for quality and environment, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements and their updates in its processes, products, and services.
- Environmental management, by controlling/monitoring the consumption of energy and natural resources, aimed at their containment and/or reduction.
- Managing waste deriving from processing of customer orders, minimizing their generation and optimizing their recycling.
- Monitoring water withdrawal.
- Implementing measures to prevent environmental incidents and, should these happen, ensure adequate response.
- Controlling and monitoring plant integrity to prevent environmental pollution.
- Environmental improvement, with continuous environmental commitment, always aiming at preventing pollution.
- Training and involving its staff members, suppliers, coworkers and all relevant stakeholders, and raising their awareness so that they can implement environmentally friendly operational behaviours.
- Improving environmental efficiency of the activity to contain / minimise, as much as economically viable, the environmental impacts deriving also from involuntary changes (new pollutants, new risks, and environmental consequences).
- Implementing manufacturing processes that comply with legal requirements and are increasingly compatible with the environmental context, based on the risks previously and periodically assessed in the sheet CONTEXT AND STAKEHOLDER ANALYSIS, so that the environmental management system can be regarded as compliant with the standard.
- Regarding compliance with CURRENT LEGISLATION on safety and health in the workplace as a priority, and making sure INFORMATION on corporate RISKS is disseminated to all workers, and their TRAINING is conducted and updated with specific reference to their role;
- Ensuring workers are consulted, also through their safety representative, regarding aspects of safety and health in the workplace. All workers should be trained, informed and made aware, so that they can perform the safety-related TASKS assigned to them;
- Privileging preventative actions and internal investigations to protect workers’ safety and health, in order to significantly REDUCE the likelihood of INCIDENTS, INJURIES and NEAR MISS, and other non-compliances.
IMPROVEMENT PLANS
TOMA S.R.L. deems it important for staff members to follow a working method based on achieving pre-set goals.
Such goals are identified on a yearly basis, consistently with quality improvement policies and goals identified in the “Business Plan”, formalised by senior management and translated into specific goals for process indicators.
“Process owners” have the task of periodically measuring and monitoring the defined indicators for the process they own, by promptly and systematically informing senior management on the progress and efficacy of such process.
Based on the obtained results and quality policies processed throughout the year, senior management identifies new macro-goals that will be the starting point to define next year’s improvement plan.
